Today is Sunday. I have (almost) finished the Rounder post for tomorrow. I have been to Halifax& back (8hr round trip+ shopping time) and purchased new Nike Frees and various other workout clothes. My legs are still hurting from Insanity (day 3 tomorrow). I did another portrait session and have edited them all. I worked at the store last night. I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on! Don't forget I also have a blog contest occurring (post below) ..so enter. Seriously, do it! Lastly, I am incredibly tired.
I would apologize for the lame post ..but I said I wouldn't be posting at all so I want some extra brownie points ;D I will also leave you guys with a little snapshot of ones of the photos from the session! Let me know what you think please ..this is my girlfriend who owns La Quaintrelle (remember my post.. no? Well check it out to be filled in) and she is fabulous ..just like her dresses! I'll post a link to the rest in tomorrow's more comprehensive post :) Enjoy your (basically over now) Sunday evening!

Disqus
So I made the move ..I switched my comments over to Disqus. I don't know if it's just only sort of working or what but sometimes I get the disqus comment section& sometimes I get the blogger comment. I'm hoping that it will sort itself out with time. For now I'll sit here& wish the rain would stop while watching Say Yes to the Dress. This time the little sister is really mean and talks like she's on hard drugs. She looks about 14. I'd punch her ..but that's just me!
Aside from being completely unproductive I really have nothing to say. I am going through horse withdrawals& the lady who owns Shyann will not email me back. I got called into work this weekend at the store ..and yes, I did quit in April. Interesting how that works, isn't it? Not that I mind because I do love the store& it's super easy work. The boyfriend& I are heading to Halifax on Sunday so should end up being a good weekend. The kind of weekend where there probably won't be much blogging from me due to not having an internet connection/ being off the island! How are you guys spending your post-Labor-day-weekend weekend?
This was my last night attempt at a landscape shot. It's crooked and I did absolutely zero post-processing. I think that means I don't really like landscape shots! Kidding, kidding. It's just more that I am getting frustrated with not being able to make this work out. I will get there ..sheer determination will get me at least one fabulous shot- especially with the autumn colors arriving soon on Cape Breton island! What do you think ..is there any improvement?! Eventually I'll create some kind of slide show from my first crappy attempts at landscapes up to the day I finally get my stunning photo ;) I have a feeling that slide show is still a long way off! Although I am taking the advice you guys gave me. This photo was shot with the following settings;
Enjoy your Thursday everyone :)

Halifax!
Today I woke up early to drive Karli, Puppy& Skunk to the Halifax airport.
I will miss her .. off to bigger& better things for her! Fingers crossed her piggies survive without too much trauma! LOL.
So, we made it fine to Halifax airport. I parked. I said goodbye. I went to leave. I tried REALLY hard to leave.
30 minutes later? Still trying to leave. OH MY GOD. HOW DO I GET OUT OF THIS PARKING GARAGE?! Panic is slowly setting in .. along with frustration. I'm contemplating just driving through a window. Or a gate. Finally, I stalk down a man who sort of explains it to me.
My 30 minute stupidity cost me an extra $2.00 ..are you serious?! We should adopt paying for stupidity for everyone. We'd be rich. The Halifax airport may be onto something. Oh well.
The drive home was nice .. whole day flew by, really. Learned lots of things on radio shows& got my photo of the day :)
Oh well .. in honor of trying to make the sun shine down on us .. here's a feel good May thing. AKA I wanted to practice something with photoshop. And then post it. Why? I have no idea. I like photos ..even bad ones. Which is apparent from some 365 photos I have ahaha
So, what is the weather like where YOU are?! Hopefully better than where I am. Come on mother nature, bring us some sunshine& mild temps! Sick of this current weather.

Lots of things!
Today is an exciting day for so many reasons. First off, my blog has exceed 4,000 views ..that means it took less than 1 week to get 1,000 page views. Thank you, people who either find me mildly entertaining or something. I appreciate the follows and the comments :) So, now it's time to discuss the things that are occurring today!
April Fool's Day
Ahh .. I love this day. I don't know why, seeing as I never do anything April Fool-ish or anything. I mostly just cross my fingers& hope that either someone will pull a prank on me or I'll get to witness an amazing prank being pulled on someone else. Or, that someday I will be clever enough& think ahead to pull my very own practical joke on someone! Will this year be the year? No, it won't. Since I will have absolutely no stories of malarkey to tell about, I will appease the readers (you) with this clever card instead (because I love when things are funny AND match my website. Thank you, someecards!):
Contest
Today is officially your last chance to get an entry into my contest in some way, shape or form. You can tweet, blog, comment or facebook it! The prizes are great (if you ask me!) and who doesn't want free stuff?! I can think of no one. Most people will take junk they'll never use under the ruse of 'It was free!'. Let's make this work for my blog .. you have until 11.49PM to get your entry in and I'll be drawing for it tomorrow! On the plus side, if you're sick of seeing me constantly posting about the contest and have no plans of ever entering, at least it will be over soon :)
Exercise
In the last 3 weeks, if you looked up the word slacker in the dictionary, I would have been there. Eating bad food and laying on the couch. I have exercised some .. it just hasn't been nearly as consistent as it was prior to that. It is time for me to get my lazy arse up off my couch and back into my Nike Frees and start running and doing Insanity. I am going to restart Insanity for the full 60 days on Monday and actually hang up the schedule as constant motivation to start .. finish .. and stick to the diet. Why have I fallen off the exercise train after so long? I tore a ligament in the top of my foot / big toe. It hurt for a LONG time and is starting to get better. I cannot wait! The other answer lies beneath this post .. which you'll be reading in about 5 seconds!
Weather
Yes. I am going to blame the weather for this. Cape Breton weather has been sucking majorly. It is constantly cold, windy and either snowing or raining. Yesterday it was gorgeous out and I took Boots for a walk. Today started out promising, the sun was shining .. I heard birds chirping .. I was strongly optimistic. Ahh, optimism. You have foiled me once again. My mom had to go to Halifax today to get the Mini from her appointment with the car doctor, so I looked up the weather for her drive home. 5 - 10cm of snow .. freezing rain .. then rain. I love when we get the full spectrum of precipitation. It brings a smile to my heart and warmth to my limbs. It also makes me wonder why people would ever want to live here? Great place to vacation in summer& autumn. Which is 2 months. The other 10 really make me think this place is unfit for human living.
Photos of the Day
Ahh the joys of trying to take a photo a day for 365 days. I should have tried counting to 365 out loud before committing to such an extremely long project. Especially this whole concept of 'variety' ..I need help. My creative juices are NEVER flowing. This leads to a constant battle between what I can easily take photos of (my dog) versus things that will challenge me / not bore you guys (anything besides my dog). I promise to post later with them ..forgive me?
Music
I will leave you with something though, just not a photo. Some music! YAY you must so excited to get another musical pick from me, right? Well .. I will admit, it rocks. You've probably never even heard of this band before, either. Which makes my pick that much sweeter. Enjoy! And check back in a little bit for my post containing some sweet treats (ones you can't win, sorry folks)!

Accomplished Today..
I survived my foodborne test. Small miracles are abundant! It is FREEZING here in my part of Canada, which always sucks. There's lots of drift ice that doesn't appear to be going anywhere .. the wind is cold& bitter ..bright side?! I survived foodborne. First, I had to survive my school being on fire and standing outside with the girls waiting for the firefighters to let us back in. It was cold and I was not dressed for an extended outdoor adventure. If I had of had my camera (common lament in my world. Constantly saying I'm going to take it everywhere& never following through on it), it would have been a good photo opportunity! I think you can tell where this is going ..no photo of the day from me yet :(
In honor of surviving my adventure to CBU today, I'm sitting here watching Full House and thinking that even though Ashley& Mary-Kate are adults now, I still find them just as cute as when they were little tiny girls! I am watching the episode where Jesse gets married. It's alright and certainly beats what I was doing this time yesterday --studying!
I am also going shopping tonight ..which would be WAY more exciting if we lived somewhere like Halifax or Edmonton. As it stands, I'll shop at Smart Set because I love it there and probably end up not buying much of anything. I really want spring clothes, even though it's -11C out and snowing. It may help put me in the mood for spring, if nothing else! I wish we had a Marc Jacobs& that I could afford it. I'm going to try incredibly hard to buy no jeans. No cardigans (let's be real ..I don't NEED any more cardigans). Some pretty spring tops and lots of trying things on. If I make that a promise now, I will for sure stick to it. Especially if I drag Garret along and make him play fashion police. Why is my boyfriend better at picking out clothes for me than I am?! Oh well, I will reward him with an Orange Julius and he will be more than happy!
Before shopping can begin, however, I must do Insanity. It won't be so bad, assuming I can gather the energy. I am a little wore out from studying for about 14hrs. Not to mention my body is totally over sleep, seeing as I only got 75 minutes worth last night. Oh well .. now I want cake (thanks, wedding episode& Cake Wrecks)! So, on that note .. I will leave you with a fabulous singer since I have no photo for you.
Hope you don't mind ..the artist I'm leaving you with is Sam Means. His song is Yeah, yeah. It's really good! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
So, sorry for a completely rambling post. I am just so excited to have done well on that stupid test. Plus, I'm tired AND hungry AND there is no cake in my house!!

The Oscars!
I watched for about 20 minutes but I find Anne Hathaway just too awkward to enjoy it. Tomorrow AM I can google 'Oscar winners' and get a complete list! Instead, I'm watching Big Bang Theory since I didn't get much watching time while at work. I spent it questioning why I have to deal with the people I do (save a few people. Some of them are actually pleasant and have personalities. Increasingly, most do not). Please, I will say it again: be nice to us lowly corner store workers. We are nice to you. Oddly, I'd be nice to you even if I didn't have to because it was my job. Return the favor!
So, there was a big amount of no blogging going on here in my little wonderful world. Why you demand to know?! On Friday AM, at 8, I fled the island to go to the big city, aka Halifax. As you well know, since I asked you to pray for the survival of myself and my friends. I was doing my first big girl drive there. It went fine .. which I figured, but thanks for the prayers anyway. I'm sure it helped it worked a miracle. Although, I'm an excellent driver so maybe not. What I should have asked for was for prayers for a sense of direction. Many a trip to Halifax, never have I ever spent much time wondering about how we got where we were going. Oopsy. Aside from my lack of direction, I will give a breakdown of the trip:
Friday: Long drive to Halifax. Some good laughs. Rain. It ALWAYS is bad weather when I go driving. Ugh. Got to Halifax, went to the Mic Mac. Bought a bra that basically had breast implants inside it. Then, got an Orange Julius. Checked into hotel .. drank vodka from a skull, which was SO bad ass. Granted, I drank it while curled under a duvet and contemplating just sleeping like the old lady I am. I was convinced to put on a scandalous dress from American Apparel (not really scandalous ..just more than my denim one lol) which was black and tight and had paint splatters on it. So, off we went to the Dome / Cheers / Sky Dome. Marg met up with friends ..I people watched from the top ..2 men got in a fight over a black woman while I was 2ft away (I see this behavior a lot for some reason) ..various other things occurred.
Then we went back to the hotel at 2.30AM and woke up Karli, who opted to sleep instead of head out. Smart decision when you consider just how COLD it was out!!
Some various other things happened (late night hair washing, swimming pre-supper, photoshoots, etc), but the most important is Your Father's Mustache. We had some delicious drinks .. lots of laughs and most importantly: I had a FABULOUS pasta supper. It was Caesar salad, garlic cheese bread and Grown Up Mac& Cheese. Don't say I'm not expanding my palate ahahaha SO good. I adore that place.
The next morning, I proceed to wake up way earlier than the others ..go for a walk.. come back ..they wake up. Idle curiosity makes me wonder: WHY DO I NOT SLEEP? Sweet sweet god. I especially was anxious because I forgot my eReader so I was super bored! We get ready, leave the city and head to Dartmouth Crossing <3 We went to Jack Asters, I was SO excited to eat my food: A deluxe bacon cheeseburger. Sounds mouthwatering, doesn't it? I was so happy. It was gross. It was shredded Kraft cheese .. overcooked hamburger .. an incredibly rude waitress ..and lastly, something Mom can appreciate. The strangest thing ever, that I have only EVER seen my mother do; put ice in milk! Karli and I took it out with forks. Onto Dartmouth Crossing, nothing exciting really happened. Bought some clothes at Tommy, bought some nose rings. Lastly, SAW AN AMAZING PUPPY DOG. Bouvier des Flandres. Look them up. Garret and I are going to get one. Right, boyfriend?! I know you're reading this!! They are hypo-allergenic, they have amazing personalities, sharpest looking dog I've seen in a LONG time .. so beautiful. Karli and I spent a long time discussing how we were going to get one for ourselves ahaha. So, after that we got tea and headed home. The roads sucked, surprisingly enough. After arriving home, I threw my things half downstairs / half still in the stairway .. and headed to get Garret and go for a delicious meal to make up for my lack of delicious at Jack Asters. We got Irish Nachos and mozza sticks from Don Cherrys. DELICIOUS. Then we got tea and went back to his place to watch Hoarders. This post is incredibly long ..so I'll skip the part where I discuss what Hoarders was about and I'll even skip over my trip to Pets Unlimited today (RABBITS. For both Hoarders and my trip.), except one part: We saw love birds and they were in love and the momma was sitting on eggs!!! So sweet. I got photos. Then we saw Nemo fish .. then I went to work. The end. Now, photos of the day: Friday wasssssss a photo of the skull vodka ..because it was delicious and who can resist?!
After that, it was Saturday. I'm not going to lie ..Saturday my camera didn't make it out of the purse. I forgot in all my puppy glory / burger disappointment. Instead, you're getting TWO photos from my pet store adventures today. The first is the love bird .. the second is the fish. Enjoy and I'm sorry I cheated on the days :( PS I've completely lost track of what days I'm on. I'll have to work on figuring that out. Not now though.
Dad love bird <3 So handsome. Momma watching her eggs ..Garret had given her straw from the bunny cage to help her with her nesting needs. My boyfriend is so kind and considerate! I couldn't decide on what particular photo to post ..mostly I love all of them.
NEMO. What up buddy? You are awesome. I want a salt water tank.
Also a photo of an angry parrot. They openly admit he's a cranky jerk, but leave him free to roam. Danger, danger.
Cute photo though!
Also, we thought these birds were dancing and Garret took a video. Turns out they were regurgitating their food into each other mouths. Hahahahahaha. Also, I have photos from Halifax. I will post them into photobucket and attach the link so that you can look at them :) Until then, I hope you enjoyed what is, perhaps, the longest post I've written so far. It has nothing to do with the Oscars.

Thursdays ..
In case you haven't noticed, my post titles are basically just friendly reminders as to what day of the week it is. Don't say I'm not helping you keep your life on track by gently pointing out how far behind you are from where you planned to be by this particular day of the week.
So, while perusing through some blogs with high traffic, I realized a few things:
1. They write about controversial things to get people talking. That make sense, because really, no one cares that one of my socks is striped while the other is polka dots. Or that my momma just got an order from Forever21 .. or that my boyfriend and dad spent time bonding in the garage while pretending to work on my car, but not really working. More talking about welders or something, I'm sure. Well, Garret has since left to go back to his house .. I'm sitting here waiting for Dad to fix my vehicle for tomorrow's trip, but more importantly so I can head to the gym today. I have to pound out a few miles on the treadmill but also do day 8 of Insanity! Tomorrow and Saturday's will have to be done at the hotel, which I'm sure will make people think I'm crazy but I'm going to stick through 60 days of this stupid program if it kills me. Which, hopefully, it doesn't.
So yesterday I went for lunch and a tattoo adventure with Marg. It was exciting .. then we headed to the gym, where I promptly realized I had no workout pants and the world wasn't about to see me run a 10k in panties. So, thoroughly disappointed I headed home. Upon arriving home, Garret picked me up and we went to Fabricville, the mall for smoothies anddd maybe somewhere else but I forget. Moral of the story is that it was a busy day!
So now today is here, and another gym date is falling apart because of my car. When you consider that we're taking it to Halifax tomorrow though, I suppose that we're better off having dad fix it now than being stuck at a stupid garage tomorrow because of a needed oil change or with a ticket because a headlight was out. I hate when cars don't just work.
So left on my to do list for today:
1. Gym it
2. Insanity
3. Pack for Halifax
4. Clean out my car
5. Get a photo of the day
6. Get a shower
7. Eat supper
8. Visit the boyfriend
Why do I feel like it's 2.20PM and I have been completely unproductive? All I did so far was eat a waffle and a bag of popcorn. Oh, and some cheerios. I wish eating made me feel productive. It just makes me feel happy. LOL.
Last night my brother texted me this:
"Lol the people im with jsut put on shoes and I thought of u"
Direct quote. In honor of the people who know me well, I will leave it to you to dig through your alcohol-foggy memories of my love affair with this particular text message and laugh. For those of you who weren't in my life during this period, I will post the answer tomorrow to why my brother is reminded of me when people put on shoes. Oh, Matthew. You crack me up.
So, now that I've discussed the pressing topics of today (if this was twitter, would I be 'trending' in my post?! Why can't I figure that stupid site out.), I will leave you with my not-taken-yesterday-but-still-the-photo-I'm-using-because-I-love-myself photo. Today's photo remains to be seen .. and you can rest assured that Friday and Saturday's photos will be ridiculous after 2 days and a night in the city. Also, can we hold hands ..have a moment of silence and prayer .. in honor of my survival as I make my first big drive into the city?! LOL.
PS why do I love me? Who else matches like this?!
PPS www.regretsy.com <-- please. Enjoy as much as I do.
