December 28, 2011

Oh, Christmas.

So I accidentally linked up my Top 11 of '11 yesterday instead of today. My bad. I hope you all enjoyed your early preview of one of my linkup posts for the end of the year. The biggest (in terms of photos included ..I have no idea which is actually 'bigger' in terms of coolness) linkup happens on January 1st. You know what that means, right? Curl up with your favorite hangover cure& enjoy looking through some great photos! I think that sounds like one the best ways to start off 2012. I know I'm excited!

Remember that time I mentioned I had a fabulous Christmas? Well, I meant it. I really, really did. I still do. I had a great Christmas with my family& I got some amazing gifts! I'm planning on putting my running gear to the test in a few short minutes. First, I have to tell you about the second part of my Christmas that put a dark spot over all the good moments. My uncle came to visit with his pup, Joey. I love this dog& I looked after her for 5 days until my uncle got here. On Christmas day, he pulled me aside to ask me if I would like to take Joey. He was too busy between school& work fulltime. My mom told me to seriously think it over. About 26hrs later, I had weighed the pros& cons of taking a 7yr old King Charles. I decided that I would take her. She's great. She's low maintenance. She's a huge lovebug. I told mom my decision& got in the shower super excited.

Fiften minutes later, I got out of the shower. Mom& Dad were in the kitchen& I was standing there in a towel, showing off my discolored skin from an over-dyed teal sweater. The following conversation occurs:

Dad: What do you guys think of Joey living in Antigonish?
Mom: I think Joey is going to live here!
Dad: What do you mean?
Mom: Yvonne is going to take her.
Dad: Well, someone better let [other uncle's name here] know. Because he thinks the dog is going to his house.
Yvonne: I need to get back in the shower.
[I really did. I was STILL teal. I also needed to cry.]

It has been 2 days since that conversation occurred. I'm not very impressed at all. It was super mean& cruel to do to me. I am actually sort of heartbroken because all I want is a new dog/ puppy. My Squirter is getting older& I've been asking for a younger dog for quite some time now .. it's not exactly a secret. I was so excited for the whole thing. I'm not mad at my other uncle who is taking Joe, he's great& she'll be loved. I am very mad at Joey's owner for asking two people at once to take the dog. There was no way that was going to work out. I'm trying very hard not to let that dampen my spirits but I am truly devastated because I had it all figured out in my head& was just starting to get super excited when it all changed. I wish he just had of never asked me in the first place.

So the moral of the story? If you ever need to give up an animal, don't promise the animal to two people. The only thing that will happen is that your niece who used to think you were pretty awesome will be forever disillusioned about you. Chances are good she'll never speak to you again because, really. You crushed her little heart. Also, I didn't write this post to be mean or passive aggressive or anything. Seriously. It's my blog& I write about what happens to me. This was a big thing in my world. I guess because I thought once I decided yes, that was it. In my mind she was instantly mine until she passed away. Guess again, Yvonne..

Also, I also didn't get to FutureShop in time to upgrade my flash& I spilled milk all over the counter. Basically, Christmas was great but the holiday season in general has not been.

Puppies are happiness

In my world, puppies are like the ultimate happiness! Yesterday I spent the early afternoon going for a walk on the beach with Hill& her puppy, Max. Remember him?

Sweet pup is much larger now.
I love him.

Well the beast has grown a lot! He was almost smaller than Squirt when I took those photos. These days he is closer to about 17 pounds. Which is like 3 of my dog. I also only included 2 photos of Max in that installment so be prepared for an overload of pure puppy happiness! I have even included some shots of the pups together ..Squirt can actually tolerate him. That alone is a minor miracle.

Look at them sort of getting along.
Play nicely together, please little puppies?!

I love Max. I love Squirt. I love when these two get to hang out and play on the beach. I don't think Squirt really likes it though. He spends the whole time looking at me like I have just subjected him to the most extreme type of torture. Playtime with a Puppy. Oh well, Squirt. I love it so you'll just have to suck it up and play along! It isn't the end of the world .. it must bring you back at least a little to your childhood! I think the next photo clearly shows how much he misses his youthful age.

So over it.
Leave me alone, Max.

Yeah, I'm guessing he really doesn't miss being young& energetic. He spent the whole time we were with Max giving him the stink eye and walking away. I think the only time he showed any speed was when he was realizing we were headed home! Before heading home though, I encouraged Max to give me one more giant run towards me so I could get some really good action shots. Those don't exist with my dog anymore.

Doesn't this just scream 'Happy'?

It was a good final shot. At the very least I like it& I'm slowly discovering you cannot please everyone with your photos. As long as I like it that is good enough. I don't charge for my photos and you still get some sweet shots. The only thing I ask is that you leave my watermark on ..small price to pay, right? The watermark isn't massive by any measures. So now that I've rambled& uploaded photos, I'm off to relax& head to sleep eventually. Before I go, though, I will leave you with a gorgeous photo of my pup. Because I love him more than anything.

My pup!
I love him.

Oh and finally before you leave for real? Here's a shot of Duff ..re-edited& added for the Aqua theme over at LEM. Does this count as aqua? I'm not sure.

Duffy says;
I hope my eyes are aqua!

And this blogger says 'So do I because eventually I'll win this challenge!!' Enjoy your evening, ladies& gents :)

Lots of photos!

So today was a photo kind of day! Spent the afternoon and early evening with Hillary. First we hit up the barn to hang out with Dewey. He was a good boy for the most part and we enjoyed some quality time with him ..I think he probably ate 20lbs of grass. Good thing I'm not trying to make him lose weight or anything :\

Love this horse.
Even on days when I don't like him!

So after that we headed home. I had some delicious rice with sweet& sour sauce. This is the BEST combination of foods in the entire world. If you have never tried it, I would practically demand you do so at your earliest convenience!! It was heavenly. I would have had more but I ran out of rice. SO SAD. So then it was still nice out so Hill& I took our puppies to the beach. Squirt had an excellent run (of which there are no photos because my dog is so grossly dirty) and Max was in heaven bugging him! After the beach, we headed back towards our houses. We played fetch with Max while Squirt lay on the grass and looked at Max like he was thinking:

Stupid puppy. They are going to keep throwing that every. single. time. How long until you learn to stop bringing it back to them? You need to learn to play fetch like I do. Run to the item and look at it then walk away with it. It's mine. I got it fair and square. What kind of idiot brings it back only to have it thrown away again? Learn quick, little dog.

Heheh love this shot!
This was the sweetest little moment ever. So glad I caught it!

Yes. I feel like that was his exact thought process while watching the three of us. After that, Hillary let Duff out. Duff is a ragdoll cat. AKA the best and ONLY cat I like. He is SO beautiful. Seriously. So him and Squirt hung out for a bit. I took a lot of photos of him because yes; I am obsessed with that animal. He hates Max so much.

See what I mean when I say his eyes are GORGEOUS?!
Loveee this cat. You don't get much better looking than that!

See what I mean when I say that they love each other?
This shot is super cute. You can clearly see the disgust on the cat's face!

Okay. So that was my day. It involved 144 photos of myself, Hill, Squirt, Duff, Max& Dewey. Then a lot of editing. How did you spend your Monday?! I hope it came even half as close to as awesome as mine :)

One last thing -we had a CRAZY storm last night. There was lightning, thunder& HAIL! So crazy. My mother wrote a post about it and included all of the photos so I won't bother recapping it on my blog. Instead I'll just link to hers. You should definitely check it out because it was wild! The photos are so cool. Click here to read about crazy Cape Breton weather! So neat. So glad my car windshield didn't break.

Superdog!

So I have this little dog and his name is Squirt. Squirt is a pretty good dog .. he gets himself into a lot of really funny situations. On Saturday, Meg and I were talking about taking our pups to a park if the sun ever decides to shine on us again.

While taking about going to the park, we remembered a funny story about my dog. It involves him, us and a wedding party. While at the park, there was also a wedding occurring. We did the usual look and say the bride was pretty and then promptly forgot about it. We let our dogs off leash and proceeded to lay in the grass and talk about life. The sun was awesome. Desperately craving some nice weather in my life right now.

So, all is going well until something catches our eye. The wedding party seems to be stirred up and -wait. Where is my dog?! Oh no ..suddenly it's all coming together. The wedding had food and people. My dog loves food and people. Suddenly we hear them saying 'What is THAT?!'.

Yup. You guessed it. It was my dog. So, poor embarrassed me has to walk over to an entire wedding that I wasn't invited to and didn't know anyone at and claim my dog. Up until this point, this story is pretty average. It gets interesting here.

So, the bride is holding my dog when I get there. The photographer is photographing her with him. When she notices me she says, direct quote (sort of):

Oh my gosh. Is this your dog? We thought that he was a muskrat when we first saw him coming out of the bushes. Can we just get a photo of us with him in the car taking us to the supper?

So, how do you say no to the bride on her big day? My only regret about the entire situation is that I didn't give them my e-mail for the shots of them and my dog. As the wedding party was pulling away they were all waving and laughing saying goodbye to my pup.

Too bad they didn't know he had a secret skill of delivering drinks to people. They could have taken him to their supper and had the cutest little waiter in all the land!!

So, do you have any animals? Do they get themselves into as much trouble or funny situations as my pup?! My dog is always making me laugh and even people who don't like dogs like him. Even my boyfriend loves my dog.

Honest to goodness
True love right here!

I just love this photo.
And I figured I had to prove they really do get along ;)

Friday Photos

Today was busy and gorgeous and I hope every day is like this for the next 2 months at least. We totally deserve it on this little island.

So, what did I spend this gorgeous day doing? I bike 25k in less than hour (score!) and I rode Dewey and cleaned him all up (also score!). Then my cute little friend, Shann, showed up at the barns with her puppy& her brother. Her mom wanted a quick photo of them and I was grateful I bring my camera with me 24/7. I literally did a 2 minute photo shoot for her and these were 3 I took.

Black& white!
So cute ..I love this shot.
Once more .. with color!
I love that the dog refused to look in both photos.

I think the focus is sort of off with this shot.
For some reason I love dogs that are slightly out of focus.

Okay, that's all I've got for you folks :) I've been too busy enjoying the sunshine .. now I'm exhausted. Curling up with Criminal Minds for the next little bit and hopefully peaceful dreams will follow.

How did you spend your Friday?!

Meghan& Buddy

These two showed up here for some photos! Thanks for braving the wind& drizzle. We ended up with some pretty cool shots, overall. Meg had asked me if we should still do the shoot, since it was overcast. I quickly told her of course we should ..having absolutely NO idea what kind of difference overcast shots would make. Turns out, it's basically perfect conditions for portraits. So, ahead we forged. Buddy& Squirt have a love / hate relationship and there are no photos of them being in love. I managed to capture one, but you can see the fear in Squirt's eyes from being so close to such a huge dog. Poor Buddy, he just wanted a friend! Squirt does not play well with others. I have to mention I didn't get my photos of the day done for today or yesterday. Sorry, there ended up being a lot of good shots from today and I figured these were more fun. Now I'm photoshopped out and so you'll get 3 photos from me tomorrow .. plus lots of other things. Mostly, I can't believe I got this all done before the Lakers game!

So, what else happened since my original post this AM? Let's see...

Honda
My poor Civic is broked :( The boyfriend, thankfully, is both mechanically inclined and very sweet. He is going to fix her for me and he drove me home so that I could have a photo shoot with Meggy! Thanks, boyfriend :) So, it's the brake caliper that needs to be fixed. Who is impressed I even remembered that?! I am. Hopefully it will be back on the road tomorrow, but if not my other options aren't too awful. Either the Mini or dad's new Civic! I suppose I won't be complaining too much if I have to take one of those instead ;)

Chiropractor
He told me that my shoulders were awful. He knew I'd be back. And I need to see him everyday for the rest of this week. Then he did a few of my favorite things! First, he laid me down. He took some needles. He stuck them in me. He ran electrical impulses through them. Mmmm electric acupuncture, I have truly missed you in my life!! Then, he folded my body into weird positions (previous to experience with a chiropractor, I would have said my body would never fold like that) and cracked my shoulders / neck / back. Life was great. It always is at first. Then comes the post-chiropractor pain. So now I'm laying here, having overexerted my shoulder as per usual, in pain. Oh well, they will feel about 100 times better in another week or so. If you have chronic pain, go see a chiropractor! They're great. Just make sure you trust them, because apparently they can paralyze you. You even have to sign a waiver ..oddly, this didn't even slightly deter me. Clearly, I was desperate.

Meg& Buddy
Here you go ..hope you love them!

Boots!

Told you I would have a post about Boots up tonight :) He is my second attempt at getting some dog photography under my belt. Poor Boots was rescued from an awful situation. His previous owners had tied him up and left him there. Literally. They moved away and didn't bother to take him. So, he chewed himself free .. ran away ..some people found him& put him on Kijiji, where my aunt found him. Now he lives with her and she probably won't abandon him. He is cute .. he likes to whine when my aunt isn't there. This led to my need to entertain him. We went for a "run" -basically, I tried to get him to run and he looked at me like I was ill. So we settled for lazing in the sun. He was not a good subject, as he was busy looking for Yvette and ignoring me. I did the best I could, but the dog was not willing to play my game. Mostly he didn't want the person who wouldn't let him give kisses, jump on the couch or do anything fun. He wanted Yvette .. apparently, I am not the dog whisperer I thought I was. This is a sad day of realization for me.

Before I post the photos of Boots, it is my duty to remind you to enter my contest! I think people will be glad when this is done so I stop adding that link to all my posts. Well folks, it will be done tomorrow ..so you better hurry and get your entries in! Prizes that are to be won are awesome, don't forget! Spread the word! Now, onto Boots :)

He is so so sweet ..and looks CRAZY like their old dog, Angel. I wish I had a photo to post so I could put up a comparison! When I first saw him, I actually thought it was just an old photo of Angel. I was wrong. Hope you enjoyed these :) I do not have a photo of the day for today and I'm not putting up another post today. So you're just going to have to wait until tomorrow, when I will post both of them ..ps, don't forget the contest ;)

Sunshine in the Cape

Yes, I awoke this morning to a glorious sight - the sun was streaming in the windows and it appeared like maybe the island is not going to be stuck in winter for the rest of the days! Oh, how wonderful that is. On my agenda for today? Several things. I'm heading to CBU for a lab .. then I'm heading to my aunts' to hangout with her dog while she goes for groceries .. I plan on doing puppy dog photo shoot #2 during this time ..the rest remains to be seen, however. I would like to include some tea, perhaps an ice cream (solely for the photo aspect, I forgot my camera last night) and then I'm not sure what else. It will definitely include an LA game though ..already set the reminder on my TV :)

Contest
Don't forget, ladies and gentlemen! There are a mere TWO DAYS LEFT. Today& tomorrow. Get your last minute entries in. The prizes are shown in the post directly below this one, and can I just say? They are basically way better than any other blog contest prizes out there ;) PLUS ..the part you can't see in the photo? An interview with me!! Does it get any more fabulous? I managed to include all kinds of things about ME (aka, what my blog is about) while also keeping you entertained in the process. I'm a marketing genius! It will be a roaring good time ..and the prize will be drawn for on Saturday :) Hurry, hurry, hurry to get entered and win some goodies!

Los Angeles Lakers
Lakers games are one of my favorite activities to enjoy. I sit on my couch with popcorn and pray that the Lakers win, while doing my best voodoo imaginable to help them in their journey. The reason I have not been blogging about my love for them thus far is because soon it will be the playoffs. I was waiting for the playoffs to begin to start mentioning them. So, this is really just a warning that you're eventually going to know WAY too much about how the Lakers are faring in their trip to the Finals. I hope someone picks up on this blog and offers me a trip to the Finals ...my god, what I would do to be in the Staples Centre while there was a Finals game occurring. It would be better than spring on the island.

Boots
Boots is the name of my aunt's dog. I'll include some details about him when I update later tonight with my doggy photos but I just had to mention how completely adorable he is and include a photo, so you could all be properly prepared for the photos to come! He looks CRAZY like their old dog, Angel. I actually thought it was her when I saw his photo. He is smaller and he is so, so sweet.

I bet you are all SUPER excited to see the photos that come from this adventure now, eh?! How adorable is this little pup?

Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
I bet there are several things you're wondering about this topic.
1. Why it's here
2. Why I know what it is
3. Is it relevant to anything?
4. What does it mean?

Well, yes, it is relevant. Relevant because today is CDH (the abbreviation for that name) Awareness Day. Thank you, Mary, for bringing this to my attention. I was going about this Thursday blissfully unaware that it was any different from the thousands of other Thursday's I've lived through.
CDH is a birth defect as common and spina bifida and cystic fibrosis but many people have never heard of it.
-Some business that wanted to encourage us to hear of the birth defect

I found out about it via Mary. Then we decided on a new avenue for my blog (and no, it's not continuing updates about what is the cause of the day.. that would be obnoxious& annoying) but it's still a secret. It made it to my website because it I figured I should promote awareness of these things every once in awhile. Here's my good deed for the ...century? I hope you all benefit from being aware. I know I sure didn't.

Photo of the Day
I'll leave you with my photo of the day from yesterday for this first post. In my second post this evening, I will include my one from today (it will be separate from the puppy's photos). Yesterdays shot was taken in a rush because I was busy watching the firemen putting out the fire in our backyard. Ahh.. the joys of grass.

It's the calendar. It's March. It's cute. And now I have to head off to class. I will return later this evening with photos of Boots :) Keep your fingers crossed that they turn out even half as good as those of Zac. Also, make the most of today. It's beautiful out!

Unforseen circumstances

I promised photos of the blog prize. I will not be delivering on that promise tonight. I have completed the autograph part of my prize .. the photo part is dependent on the winner .. the secret& Lick-A-Chick article of clothing have yet to be picked up.

Why, you ask? Well .. the last 2 parts of that were supposed to be picked up before work. Circumstances changed, however, and being the sweet co-worker I am I went into work 30 minutes early for Caelyn, thus preventing my chance to achieve my promise. Isn't the lack of actually SEEING what you're all vying for really building anticipation?!

So, before I give you details+ photos of my awesome adventure today, I will complain about something at work. Certainly not the work I do at work, because I spent most of today photoshopping photos& reading about celebrities that I don't care about. Getting paid for that is basically the most awesome deal ever.
This is about people who talk on their cell phones while interacting with me. It's SO FREAKING RUDE. Ask the person your talking to hold on while you purchase your things or DON'T PURCHASE THEM. Ugh.
If someone is that important that you can't ask them to hold, then perhaps you shouldn't be buying your smokes, lottery tickets and junk food while trying to converse with them?! And if they aren't that important, perhaps you could employ some courtesy& etiquette and behave appropriately. I AM important, I DO deserve your attention& I AM judging you. Oh, and even blogging about you. You know who you, snotty 'Too-good-for-you' jerkface.

Okay, so now! In order to make up for my complete lack of delivering on my first promise .. I have some awesome shots from my adventure today with Barry& Zac! I mean, some of these came out awesome. I'll post a few of my favorites here and a link to the rest of them on my photobucket. I'm going to work on getting some kind of slide show embedded into my posts, but for now ..clicking into my photobucket will have to work. Or else, you could not click and just not see them. Trust me though, these are worth seeing! Hope Chelsea likes them :)

We fought through the bitter cold, wind and the "unwilling to stay completely still& cooperate with us" puppy, aka the star of the show! He's pretty handsome .. so I will forgive him! Plus, I dressed weather appropriate and it was really only my hands& face that nearly got frostbite. Barry was in just a sweater and I'm sure close to hypothermia by the time we finished! So, here is a snapshot of the results. I will let the photos speak for themselves :)

And, before you go ..don't forget to enter my blog contest! The more people that enter, the funner it will be for me. And this is my blog, so let's make my wishes come true! It will take you 1 minute TOPS to comment and enter :)

Happy March!

I meant to post last night .. and then I had to watch Easy A (ps, everyone should also watch this. So brilliantly funny and relevant ahahaha) with Mom. After that, I had to make myself supper and shower in order to get to the boyfriend's house to eat treats and watch people lose weight (Heavy) and get over addictions (Intervention). It was delightful .. but it left me forgetting to update the world on my life!! I know, the disappointment was almost unbearable. The drive over was sooo long ..I hate, hate, hate SNOW. Bright side?!

I GOT TO PLOW THIS MORNING! We got in the Jeep and really, Garret did most of the driving. I, however, moved the plow up and down via the switch! It was really fun .. and then we got tea. And also went to my house to pick up my gym clothes so that I could go to the gym with Margy after my lab. The lab consisted of going to the Pit to check VOC (volatile organic compound) levels .. wearing some PPE (personal protective equipment) .. and checking out what PPE is needed when working with certain chemicals. It was actually kind of fun. Except the part where my head was too tiny to fit any of the masks. We got to spray this delicious tasting mist into our faces to see if we could taste it .. if we could, it meant ill fitting equipment. We could. It was delicious though so we didn't really mind. Had it of been disgusting, I would have been a sadder / grosser experience.

At the gym, I pounded out 4 miles and did an ab workout. After surviving that, I headed to Orange Julius with Marg. They made my smoothie wrong AND I forgot my wallet so I had to scrounge money from Marg. Sorry, promise to pay you back tomorrow when I find my wallet! You're a real doll :) At home, I enjoyed some corn, sweet& sour chicken &mashed potatoes. Delicious. Then a chocolate chip cookie .. some Ritz with cheese .. and a milk and now water. Yum. I may have to break out the popcorn in a little bit, I'm craving snacks!

Basically, today nothing overly exciting has happened and mostly I'm exhausted and still have to pound out QPM and foodborne assignments. Wah wah wah. I am truly wishing I could nap and magically have them done when I wake up. Dream big. I'm currently watching Big Bang and being giddy because some people have randomly picked up my blog and started posting it on their pages (I can now be found in some tumblr sites .. LinkedIn .. etc etc). Thanks for finding me funny / relevant / entertaining / whatever. My boyfriend is floating around on random sites with a dinosaur ahahaha

Now, some topics of choice:
1. Joel Plaskett - let's be real. This guy rocks and has been a staple in my music for many many years. I've seen him in concert SO many times ..sheer genius. He is my favorite cruising music :) When you get to the end of my post, I may just have included a favorite song for you to listen to!

2. Charlie Sheen - Just because Mom mentioned his life isn't nearly as crazy as hers is. I'd like to do a comparison list but 2 problems: 1. I don't know anything about Sheen. 2. I don't know how to make a chart on here :( Perhaps I'll google him and photoshop one up!

3. Winter - we're getting ANOTHER storm on Thursday. This is quickly getting old. Seriously. IT IS MARCH. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ALMOST SUMMER. Why lord, why? Snow? Where are you global warming? We should all joins forces with my mom and spray some hairspray in an effort to hurry it up and make us warm!! So, on the other hand they say March either comes in like a lion and out like a lamb or the opposite. So I guess that means we can look forward to a spectacular ending .. along with a beautiful April?!

4. Horses - I miss them SO much. If anyone reading this has a horse they want to lend me, please. Let me know?! Once the spring really arrives, I will desperately require some equine interaction back into my life. Weekly, at least. Preferably? Daily. Or, puppies. If anyone has a puppy I can love, I will be glad to take on the role of crazy dog lady. Has a better ring to it than crazy cat lady anyway!

Alright, so now that we've caught up on my relatively boring past 2 days, I have a photo of the day from yesterday ..I need to take today's still :( Just thinking of everything I still have to do is making me tired. That is never a good sign.
Yesterdays photo was the sky. With some clouds in it. I have no idea what day I'm on .. I'm too tired to count. Numbers make me nauseous. I want to do a good photo some day soon, it requires some nice weather though so I can get outside and do something more than same old, same old! I also need to keep working with my light box.
Here are my clouds :)

C'est fantastique, non? Also, I'm STILL looking for people who want to play model for me. Garret is either going to get sick of me trying to take his photo, or you people are going to think I'm obsessed with posting photos of him!! I have refrained from more photos of him, but need portraits. I can do closeups and landscapes are out until it's nice! So, don't be shy. Just tell me how badly you wish you could be a model. I have photoshop and will only post gorgeous / handsome photos of you! LOL. Oh well.. doesn't hurt to beg a little.

Now, to make good on my promise for a video. I present you, Joel Plaskett. He's great!

PS Joel, when are you coming back to Cape Breton?! Let a girl know. Promise to purchase tickets and hit that up! The island misses you :)

Switch to esurance!

Just kidding. My post has nothing to do with esurance except that I was watching it while trying to think of a title for my post. Thinking of titles is easily the hardest thing I've had to do all day!

So last night, Meg and I went to watch The Rite. It was fantastic, save that Anthony Hopkins didn't eat anyone. That's always slightly disappointing to me. He did make an awesome exorcist though, so props Sir Hopkins. Then I almosttttt went out, until I was exhausted. So instead I went to sleep. End night.

Today I went to the mall and got an Orange Julius with the boyfriend. Obviously, as you read my blog you will learn several very important things about me:
1. I love Orange Julius.
2. I haven't really talked about the others yet... so keep waiting.

The smoothie was delicious and then we went to get oil for his Jeep. While I was waiting for him to come back out, some women was out playing fetch with her dog in the WalMart parking lot. It was odd, but I love dogs so I creepily watched them from my passenger side window for about 7 minutes.

So yes, the highlight of my Sunday was Orange Julius and creeping out dog owners. You know why that was the highlight? I went to work at 3 ..although it was incredibly quiet and I ALMOST spent the whole night curled up reading a good book on my eReader. You know why I didn't? I forgot it at my house. That makes me sad because instead I had to read this:

I know what you're thinking. I am SO lucky. It was awesome .. I read about a girl who has a possessive pilot husband who loses a leg. In order to pay for his recovery, she goes back to work for lawyer (the husband made her quit because he was jealous she worked for the guy) and the husband was so grateful that he tries to kill himself. They are more in love than ever.
Then I read a story about 2 guys in the army who were accused of rape, but were really just cheating on their girlfriends. Anddd also about a girl who falls in love with a boy and they get married and have to take on all her siblings because her oldest sister was murdered and her mother and father are also dead for some reason. She is 17.

Oh, trashy stupid magazines. How I hate you so. Next time, I will certainly remember to bring my reader. I cannot do another night of lounging in my big leather chair with shitty reading material. Otherwise, it would have been a picture perfect night at work. Snow kept the roads just bad enough to keep people away, except my favorite customers :) Most of my favorite customers are older, so they won't be reading my blog anytime soon. That saddens me.

Now, for the rest of the evening I'm going to curl up with my puppy and watch the Criminal Minds marathon (thanks, A&E, for being the best channel in the world) until I fall asleep. PS for everyone who reads this before tomorrow at 11PM ..you should turn on A&E so that you can watch the most amazing show that exists -> Heavy. SO good.

Alright, that is enough of me writing about nothing for one evening. Enjoy your Sunday evening ladies and gents!
