Today I..

Fill in the blank people! How did you spend your day?! I spent it going to two labs. The first one involved an exam I bombed and the second one involved standing outside for 40 minutes while freezing to a slow, slow death. I was home by 3.20PM. I am STILL cold and it's well over 3 hours later. I am snuggled up with a cup of tea, university platform diving and lots of layers! I wish Cape Breton would catch up with the seasons and turn itself into spring .. my shopping trip last night was a bust. I can't shop for spring things when I'm this cold!

So, what is on my plate for the remainder of the evening you ask? Well, I figured I'd take full advantage of my completely being alone and enjoy an evening for myself. This will include the following:
1. Long, hot bath
2. Beautiful blue drink
3. Painting my toes a spring color (I'll incorporate this season somehow. Even if I can't wear it's clothes!)
4. Uploading, editing& posting my photos on here
5. Curling up with a good book& popcorn
6. Bed early (here's hoping)

So for now, I'm deciding how to start my evening of being 100% unproductive. I'm torn between continuing to sit here for a little while longer or starting to run the bath. It really depends on how my motivation goes after finishing this post.

Until I decide, I'll let you in on my favorite part of last night: ice cream from the Tasty Treat. Garret and I split a Blizzard with Oreo crumbs! It was definitely a little chilly (it may or may not have been snowing) but it was still sort of fun to sit in the Jeep& split a delicious summertime treat. If it can't be spring, we may as well have fun pretending it is! While wearing our Ugg boots, winter coats, scarves& mittens, just in case we have to go outside ;)

Oh, also while we were doing our little air quality field trip, I was reminded of something very important. We all must be tolerant. I had this thought while trying very hard not to strangle certain people on our field trip. My first thought was 'You are so very, very bizzare'. Which was immediately followed by my second thought 'Try not to judge. Be tolerant'. My second thought failed. I tried .. and then I tried thinking of things that could increase my tolerance.

It hit me like a lightning bolt. I don't know how I've lived all these years and never consciously thought of it. Tolerance is most achievable when there is nobody around to tolerate! Wow. I'm brilliant ..practically the next Dalai Lama. It was an incredibly profound moment in my life. The only sad part was that I had such a moment while standing in an ambient air quality station while freezing cold and wearing alpaca mittens. Actually, the mittens were probably the highlight of that moment.
When I write my book, I'm going to make this moment more wonderful. It's going to involve me actually starting to live out my lack of tolerance by starting to strangle said persons but having the epiphany at exactly the critical moment! I can see it all now .. or maybe, I should just get a movie deal from my blog. Then I could pick someone totally awesome to play me. Except I'm not really good with celebrities, so that would be hard.

Okay, I'm done. The moral of the story is tolerance is easy. When there is no one around that you have to tolerate. So surround yourself with people that you don't want to strangle as often as you can. Oh, and I just learned another lesson:
Always dress like you're about to have a brilliant thought. Then you won't have to lie about it later when you're penning your personal book! I am sure glad Karli lent me those mittens ..I'll just focus on them.

So now I'm off to lock my doors (I don't want anyone to kill me while I'm relaxing) and enjoy a relaxing bath. I might even light candles to go with my beautiful blue drink. I will be back later to post my photos for today and yesterday!

Until then, enjoy your Thursday evening and I hope it is incredibly relaxing and warm :) I also hope it's filled with things you love, because everyone can use a pick-me-up from time to time!
Oh, I almost forgot to post a favorite song. This will most definitely help put you in a better mood ..unless you're going through a really depressing breakup or divorce. In which case, I'd probably skip it and go for something a little less filled with love. Like Nine Inch Nails. If you aren't heartbroken though, here is Brett Dennen -Love You the Most :)

Fabulous!

HAPPY PANCAKE DAY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN !!
Hope you are eating some today (either made by yourself or by someone else for you!) and perhaps even finding money in them?! Even better if it's large amounts and you didn't put it there yourself ;) I had cereal for breakfast, but you can bet my supper is going to be pancakes! Soo delicious!

Aside from it being pancake day, it's a Tuesday. I'm laying on my couch .. watching Ellen interview Mike Tyson, who has a crazy face tattoo but just said something insightful -> "There are a lot of great people who aren't that good." Brilliant from the man who has scrambled brains from too many punches to the head. Not to mention, he bit someones ear off.

So, what is on the agenda for this lovely day? First up is heading to my lab. Hopefully it won't take long .. I'll get home, study for A&P, make myself some lunch (pancakes!), continue studying, do tea with Tiffy (who should really update her blog!), where I will get another portrait shot! After that, I'll come home .. upload it .. and post it here! Yes folks, that means there will be TWO blog posts in one day! Amazing, isn't it?

So, last night we saw the movie Drive Angry. It was, hands down, the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. And I'm usually someone who can tolerate Nick Cage. Oh my god. Do not go see that movie. I also could have been slightly cranky because I couldn't eat the popcorn (stupid canker.).

So, it's many hours later. I forgot to post this. Typical me. Lab was attended, lunch was skipped, supper was chicken ... pancakes are going to be my study snack :D Got a tea with Garret .. he is a gimpy boyfriend. My puppy is not doing very well today, he isn't standing up or eating or really showing any interest in me. He always shows interest in me. Matthew also tried to give him 3 treats, and they are still laying on the floor beside him. This speaks even more than him not being super excited to see me lol! He loves his treats. He also won't go up& down the stairs ..I guess I will have to give him some medicine and hope for the best. Poor little stinker :(

Also, can I just say I've had this canker for over a week now. Instead of getting better, it is getting worse. It hurts to brush my teeth (don't worry, that hasn't stopped me from performing the task!), it hurts to eat anything, drink anything (oddly, even water) and mostly it is as annoying as hell. Along with the canker that just won't go away, I also am continuing to suffer from a runny nose and sneezing. I wish I would either get sick enough to allow myself to do nothing except sleep or get better. Stuck in limbo between health and sickness? Gross. I totally get why ghosts are so cranky all the time now. Poor fellas.

So, my photo of the day is Bella! She is huge& sweet ..it hurts when she steps on your toes!

Another day ..

I totally thought Mom vs. Sheen would have gotten more comments. I should tweet Charlie Sheen, I wonder if he would find it as hilarious as we all did? Probably not. Oh well. This post is going to be nearly as entertaining as my last one! Sorry about that.

Today I went to foodborne lab. I ended up being late because I'm slow and spent too long lazing in bed thinking about how cold and miserable my day was going to be once I decided to get up and start it. So, I rushed off to my lab only to get stuck in traffic and come screeching to a halt for about 5 minutes. Time to double the rest of the highway! I made it to lab, only to realize I forgot both my lab manual AND my lab project, which was tucked inside my manual. Why? To ensure it wouldn't be forgotten. Some days just aren't your day. After surviving my lab, where e. Coli was spilled over my things (yay.) and I had to re-do some tubes (no fault of my own), I headed to the cafeteria with some better news: Air Quality lab was CANCELED and I just had to survive his midterm and could head away from CBU! I spread the word to not attend lab .. sat down with Karli, Marg and Patricia to learn some things about the atmospheric layers of the earth. It was truly thrilling. Then I went off to write it. I proceeded to get perfect scores on the math section (um. I think the world is ending. Dead serious.). Hopefully I'll find out my final mark tomorrow ..don't let me down, Bill! Please have them corrected?!

The day that started out so awful was starting to look up. I headed to Garrets, where I picked up my wallet (YAY. Money!) and boyfriend and off we went to buy some 2x4s, Orange Julius and onion rings from A&W! Also we watched Dr. Phil, went to his dentist so he could pick up some paperwork and then basically lazed around until I decided I should go home and start studying for Occupational Hygiene. Man. I'm so burnt out .. I need the weekend to do NOTHING. Except, run the Louisbourg Slush Run. I am DOOMED. Meg is running amazing times and I haven't even been to the gym in 2 days. Tomorrow I'm going 100% for sure and going to pound out a good run. Then I'm going to Garret's house to sleep until it is time to wake up and go to that run. Hoping Garret will come with and take some photos! Should be really funny and cold and long and painful. I already can't wait until I can go to sleep afterward.

Speaking of photos, I know I'm SUPER behind on my 365. I promise to get all my photos uploaded, photoshopped and added to my blog soon. Either tomorrow before I go to Garret's house or on Saturday after work. It really depends on how busy I am, although once finishing this midterm tomorrow I should be good to go!
My brother gets home tonight, in fact I think he& Mom just walked in, so that will be an adventure all on it's own, really. Perk to this? Mom made chocolate fudge cupcakes and I had TWO! They were so delicious that I don't even feel badly about being such a bad eater this evening. Tomorrow I will eat good and I definitely will at work.

So, along with lack of photos of the day, you may have also noticed a lack of Insanity updates? Yeah. Going to Halifax with the girls killed that game plan and I was incredibly busy and tired this week (I must be getting sick. Being tired is really odd for me), so it just ended. I'm going to restart it on Monday from the very beginning. Including the fit test. I think somewhere in this blog I wrote down what I was able to do my very first day. I'm going to compare to see if I have improved even a tiny bit.

Alright, now it is time for me to study more for Occupational Hygiene. Wish me luck! Enjoy your Thursday evening ladies and gents .. you're all awesome :) Sorry this post wasn't nearly as entertaining as my last. Or as visually striking. I should use pie charts more often.

Edited to ask: Would it be wrong of me to reactivate my facebook in order to bring more attention to my blog? I love being facebook free but so many people who would visit my blog don't even know about it! Also, welcome to my 15th follower!! First new follower in a long time ..nice to know I'm still being read and considered decent enough to subscribe to :)
