Decision time!

Can you folks help me out? I'd super appreciate it.
Remember La Quaintrelle? If not, it is a fabulous online boutique that one of my best friends owns. She is great and is putting on an event for local vendors this weekend coming. I was talking to her earlier& she suggested that I should set up shop& sell some of my prints. Now, let me give you the breakdown on this:

1. I am completely unsure if my prints would sell
2. I have no idea how to price them
3. It would be totally last minute& rushed
4. I am actually completely clueless

So, with that said, what do you think? Should I bite the bullet& go for it? Should I hold off longer until I actually put some thought into it or jump in without a care? I'm torn. I don't even know what prints I'd use. I have some I think. I'll include them then you can tell me if you'd buy them. Sound good? Perfect.

Who doesn't love farm animals ..especially when they are made out of chocolate, right?! I love this but do regular people love this kind of stuff? And would you really want a print of it? I'm so unsure what people think is cool or hip to want to have around their house. Probably because I am not cool or hip& don't own a house. Wah wah wah.

Then there's always flowers. People like flowers, right? These came out cool. Yes, I would re-edit them to remove the watermark and such. Still though ..do people want things like this? Help me out! I'm so lost. I especially love my photos of the Jones soda below but I'm not sure if anyone else would. And what do you do with it? I think that's what I'm most confused about.

Oh, also I didn't forget about the photo challenge. I have a photo of myself with 13 things but my camera is still downstairs& I'm not going down there to get it to upload the photos. I promise I'll update tomorrow with both photos needed& be fully caught up. So feel free to leave me a comment letting me know what you'd do if you were in my shoes with my photos. I need some kind of feedback from people other than those who have my best interests at heart. Let me know seriously if you'd buy these things. I won't cry.

Busy weekend

Wow! It's 12.18AM on Wednesday. I am exhausted. You would swear I'd been busy doing really important things.. I wasn't. I spent my weekend with Garret at Bike Fest& then playing babysitter at the baby shower. I got a few cute snapshots& had a delightful sleep. No wonder people with kids want to sleep. Those things really don't have an off button! I managed to survive without too many battle wounds.

No. Seriously. This girl could win the Energetic Award if one existed!

My prize for surviving the children? A bottle of red wine. Okay actually I won it because my team won the baby shower game& only myself& one other person were legally allowed to drink. He gave me the wine out of sheer pity. I don't drink red wine but I'm thinking I might start.

Oh I also got to play with a $2,000 camera lens. Thanks, Paul! You rock :) Next time we'll have longer to shoot. Anyone have any good photo subject ideas?! We're going out again on Sunday so my fingers are crossed that inspiration strikes me before than ..and I'm never inspired so it would be great if you folks could help me out. Yesterday we went to the graveyard so I could practice with the lens a little bit. I got some cool macro shots. Here is my favorite:

Getting old

You know how to tell when you're getting old? Your late nights consist of editing photos& downloading things for photoshop. I was up until 3AM last night playing with some features for photoshop& learning how to use masks more efficiently. It was fun and now I'm hooked! I couldn't believe when I looked at the clock& saw the time ..it flies when you're learning new skills. I'm hoping to start applying some of the editing effects I learned to my new photos. In honor of that I'll leave you folks with 2 photos of flowers edited with my sweet new know-how. Let me know what you think :)

Skipping Tuesday!

Yup. I skipped blogging yesterday. I spent the day around the barn and then my boyfriend took me out for supper& an ice cream. It was delicious! Then we drove to St. Peters to pick up some kind of tool kit or something that he wanted. The drive was fun .. we saw people getting busted for having pot in their car. Which is always semi-exciting. Would have snapped a photo if I had of known what they were getting searched for because at the time we thought that it was just a regular traffic stop& we couldn't figure out why the police officer had them outside the vehicle. Then this morning I heard it on the radio. Oh well, another lost opportunity for a photo!

So that was how I spent my blog-free yesterday. Today I slept in while Garret got up& went to work .. sucks to be him ;) Then I came home and hung around outside for a little while. It's foggy here on this little island today. I took a photo with my tripod to include me in it in my backyard to show you guys:

Yup. I had to run really fast to get there in 10 seconds! I also didn't have time to turn around and I was too lazy to take a second one so this is all you're getting!

Aside from that I plan on spending this afternoon making some lunch& then heading over to the barns to hang out with Dewey for a little bit. I'm thinking that I will take the camera& see if I can get any shots worth sharing. Probably not though because I have a feeling it will be dead when we get there.. oh well! I can't wait to take photos of my boyfriend's new bike. I want to make them very urban or ghetto or something. I'm not sure but I'm really hoping it'll be fun& the shots will turn out awesome!

Okay ..so now that I've spent way too much time rambling about nonsense, I'm off. Before I go, though, I'll leave you with some other photos from my afternoon outside!

Last night Sylvia came over for supper! She brought some gorgeous flowers with her so I couldn't help but throw them in the light box& try to get some pretty shots. I guess today is a 'Wordless Wednesday' but with words& on Tuesday. Close enough ..right?! Here are some photos I took (watermarked because I've noticed a few of my photos floating around with no credit given to me. Come on people, I'm not even that good!!). Let me know what you think!

Drift ice!

Ahh .. the further we get into spring, the more it seems like the world might actually warm up! Today was only slightly bitterly cold. So thumbs up for that. Why is it bitter cold? Because I live in a house surrounded by water 3 sides. The water is currently filled with the miraculous thing known as drift ice! I will include a photo perhaps ..depending on my energy level in the next 2hrs (which, yes, is how long it will take me to photoshop all my photos to include them here& publish them!). I'm hoping I'm energetic enough to at least try, because otherwise I am giving up on having energy!

So, today consisted of NOT writing foodborne ..so now I must tackle it on Wednesday morning instead. Ughh to this stupid midterm. Oh well. Hopefully tonight will have something fun occur, like curling up with the boyfriend to watch Heavy& Intervention perhaps?! My all time favorite way to spend a Monday evening!

For now, I'll content myself with watching Dr. Phil (brat-proofing your child ..my future child is going to be so perfect!) and drinking water. I might even indulge in a chocolate chip cookie! So much for the health train, although after Dr. Phil I am actually going to go do Insanity. It's just the fit test, which is nice but still killer. Hoping restarting exercise will restart my energy levels ..can't survive this drained much longer! Keep your fingers crossed, eh? Until then I'm just going to lay uselessly on the couch and think about exercise. That's close to actually doing it, right?

Okay so now it's 5.20PM. Cookies have been enjoyed, photos have NOT been taken and exercise has been done! Call me almost completely productive ..so close. If I could just get some energy to take photos, life would be so much better! Although currently I'm here in pj pants, an LA Lakers shirt and a big bottle of water that is almost empty! None of this is conducive to going for a photo. So many photos need uploading, photoshopping and posting. Blargh ..this project 365 thing is way harder than I imagined! It's also funny how I'm just leaving this unpublished and randomly updating it with how unproductive I've been. Okay, next section will include photos& also be the last!

Alright, now! Photos for today+ 2 days ago:
Starting with Saturday's photo, which is a photo of gum from work. It looks, oddly, like a photo I took a long time ago when I first got my camera. This is unique for 2 reasons:
1. I have, clearly, not improved at all ahahah
2. I rock at being productive at work!

Most excellent ..now onto yesterday. Yesterday was a photo of the flower my boyfriend got me for Valentine's Day. No, it isn't still alive .. yes, I should probably throw it away. I had, up to this point, yet to take a photo of it though. I figured I'd snap one while it was withering away slowly on top of our water cooler!

Now, onto my photo for today! My intention was to go outside and get a photo that represents spring. That, however, did not occur. Instead, I opted to just take a photo in the bathroom. Luckily for you, it's not of anyone peeing! It's of Benefit makeup ..but it's sort of pretty! I think so, at least :)

Okay, now I'm done for the day. This was perhaps the longest, most procrastinating blog post in all of history!
